Fort Walton Beach, FL – JVC Broadcasting, one of Americas largest independent and locally owned broadcast and entertainment companies, announces its 15th Annual Bikes or Bust donation drive beginning Thursday, December 4th! This year, Highway 98 Country will join its sister stations’ DJs in taking turns living in a scissor-lift high above Uptown Station-Fort Walton Beach to collect new bikes, toys, helmets, and funds to help children in need and to raise awareness for Emerald Coast Toys for Tots.

To ensure every child along the Emerald Coast gets a new bike or present this Christmas, the radio stations will be onsite for 98 hours collecting donations while their DJs camp atop a 30-foot-tall scissor-lift, with only a tent and sleeping bag to protect them from the elements!  This event will encourage listeners, community members, and local businesses to donate new bikes, helmets and toys for children of all ages.

Bikes or Bust will take place at Uptown Station, located at 99 Eglin Parkway NE in Fort Walton Beach.  Highway 98 Country’s morning show host, Bo Reynolds, will kick off this year’s event, going up on the scissor-lift at 10am Thursday,  December 4th. The event will run through Sunday, December 7th at noon.  Local volunteers along with representatives of JVC Broadcasting Fort Walton Beach and Panama City Beach will be on site collecting donations and assembling bikes for Emerald Coast Toys for Tots.

Bikes or Bust will also be supported on: Highway 98 Country-WHWY, 102.1 The Wave-WWAV, The Bone 92.1-WBON and The Bone 97.7-WYYX and Florida Man Radio 103.1-WZLB.
