UNITED WAY OF WEST FLORIDA ANNOUNCES THE 2024 MINI-GRANT CYCLE IS OPEN FOR NONPROFITS IN ESCAMBIA AND SANTA ROSA COUNTIES
Pensacola, FL – May 15, 2024
United Way of West Florida is proud to reopen the 2024 Mini-Grant cycle geared to empower nonprofit organizations within Santa Rosa and Escambia Counties. United Way of West Florida’s Mini-Grant offers up to $5,000 in funding to agencies focused on enhancing their organizational capacity through various means such as professional development, consulting, and training.
Laura Gilliam, CEO of United Way of West Florida, emphasized the importance of this initiative, stating, "We are particularly interested in supporting grassroots agencies making a positive impact on marginalized communities residing in hard-to-reach areas with limited resources. We are committed to becoming more accessible to these types of nonprofit agencies in Escambia and Santa Rosa counties."
To be eligible for consideration, agencies must be registered as a 501(c)3 organization, with a focus on education, health, or financial stability services. Additionally, they must demonstrate financial trustworthiness, maintain an active Board of Directors, and operate with an organizational revenue under $250,000.
Virtual information sessions regarding the mini-grant will be held on June 25 and July 9 to provide guidance and answer questions for eligible applicants. The application period for mini-grants will be open from June 21, 2024, to July 31, 2024.
