    HCA Florida Hospitals Announce Dr. Eric Schuck as
    Chief Medical Officer
    ~Dr. Schuck to Serve as Chief Medical Officer of HCA Florida Fort Walton-Destin Hospital and HCA Florida Twin Cities Hospital~
     
    Fort Walton Beach, Fla.Eric Schuck, M.D., has been appointed chief medical officer (CMO), of HCA Florida Fort Walton-Destin Hospital and HCA Florida Twin Cities Hospital, effective June 1.
     
    In this role, Dr. Schuck will lead the clinical and quality initiatives that support consistent clinical performance and practice standards across HCA Florida Fort Walton-Destin Hospital and HCA Florida Twin Cities Hospital. Dr. Schuck brings more than 25 years of experience, with a proven track record of improving quality and patient safety, as well as the development and growth of key service lines.

    Dr. Schuck returns to Fort Walton Beach from Ocala, Fla., where he served as the CMO for HCA Florida Ocala Hospital and HCA Florida West Marion Hospital. Prior to that, he held CMO roles at HCA Florida West Hospital and in HCA Healthcare’s TriStar Division, and also served as the site medical director for pediatrics/emergency services at multiple facilities, including HCA Florida Fort Walton-Destin Hospital, HCA Florida Capital Hospital and HCA Florida West Hospital.

    Previously, Dr. Schuck led successful physician practices and worked as a clinical instructor in pediatrics at Yale New Haven Hospital Saint Raphael in New Haven, Conn.
     
    Dr. Schuck graduated with honors from Emory University School of Medicine in Atlanta, Ga., where he studied as an Air Force Health Professions Scholarship recipient. He then successfully completed a residency in pediatrics at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base/Dayton Children’s Hospital in Dayton, Ohio, before serving nearly 10 years in the United States Air Force.
