Fort Walton Beach Medical Center Announces Opening of Navarre ER

Fort Walton Beach, FL – Fort Walton Beach Medical Center announced today that the new freestanding ER in Navarre opened their doors Tuesday, April 13^th at 7:00am. This new ER expands access to emergency care in Santa Rosa County. The new freestanding ER is located at 1809 Granada Street, near the foot of the Navarre Beach Bridge.
 
The new, 24/7 full service freestanding ER features 11 emergency exam rooms, CT scan, general X-ray and an on-site laboratory, and is capable of caring for all ages, including pediatrics. The 10,860 square-foot, one-story facility fronts Navarre Parkway, with the entrance on Granada Street. The ER expects to serve more than 10,000 patients a year and will employ approximately 30 full-time healthcare professionals with additional staff hired to support growing needs.
 
“Navarre ER will allow us to deliver emergency care right where many of our patients and families live,” said Mitch Mongell, Fort Walton Beach Medical Center CEO. “We will provide the same expert and compassionate care we deliver throughout the region, but in a more convenient setting for our patients in Navarre.”
 
As a means to continue improving access to local high-quality care, this is the second freestanding ER for Fort Walton Beach Medical Center. The other freestanding ER is located in Destin on Hwy 98.  Just like Fort Walton’s main facility, Navarre ER will be a full service, fully staffed emergency room with ER physicians, RN’s and a medical team ready to service the needs of the community, 24/7. The new freestanding ER also includes a lab for testing and a radiology suite with X-Ray and CT equipment.
