After a trial period of 3–6 months, there is potential to transition into a paid position based on performance, organizational fit, and available funding.

    Responsibilities
    • Provide daily care for rabbits and other small animals (feeding, cleaning enclosures, monitoring health, enrichment).
    • Assist with adoptions, visitor interactions, and community tours.
    • Support planning and hosting of community events, educational workshops, and fundraising activities.
    • Maintain clean, safe, and welcoming environments for both animals and guests.
    • Help with record-keeping, volunteer coordination, and social media support as needed.
    • Represent Bunnychick Haven with professionalism, warmth, and a passion for animal welfare.

    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Reliable, responsible, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
    • Flexible schedule with occasional availability on weekends or evenings for events.
    • Previous experience in animal care, nonprofit work, or community outreach is a plus, but not required.

    Benefits of Volunteering
    • Hands-on training in animal care, rescue operations, and community engagement.
    • Opportunity to transition into a paid staff position after the trial period.
    • Gain valuable skills in nonprofit management, event planning, and public relations.
    • Be part of a mission-driven team making a meaningful difference for animals and people alike.

    Time Commitment
10–15 hours per week, with flexibility around class schedules, family responsibilities, or other work. Some weekend hours may be required during events and adoption days.
