    UF/IFAS Extension Growing Native

    Wildflowers Course

UF/IFAS Extension Santa Rosa County is hosting an Easy to Grow Florida Wildflower course on Thurs., Sept. 29 at 9 a.m. The course will be held at the University of Florida Milton campus, 5988 US-90, in Milton. This course allows participants to learn about native Florida wildflowers that can be easily grown in home gardens and landscapes. Not only do native wildflowers support butterflies, bees, and other pollinators, but they also provide such ecological benefits as improving soil health, preventing erosion, and improving water quality.

Seating is limited, register at the link below:

Attendees will receive a copy of the Florida Wildflower Foundation publication, 20 Easy-To-Grow Wildflowers, which will guide choosing and establishing plants that benefit wildlife and beautify yards. Other helpful publications will also be available. There will be an optional walk in the native wildflower garden on the campus following the presentation.
