    Milton, FL - The Tobacco-Free Santa Rosa Coalition (TFSRC) will a virtual teleconference meeting on Thursday, May 20th at 4pm from Florida Department of Health in Milton locate on 5527 Stewart Street.  Please RSVP to Vince Nguyen at 850-564-2253 or email at vince.nguyen@flhealth.gov.  Topics during the teleconference call will include worksite wellness, smoke-free multi-unit housing, SWAT-Tobacco Retailer Licensing (TRL), Point of Sale (POS) policies, AHEC resources, tobacco free parks and community events.     The Tobacco-Free Santa Rosa Coalition began in September 2008 as a partnership of community members and agencies working together with a mission to reduce the prevalence of tobacco use and provide education on the dangers of tobacco abuse among children and adults.  Members include the Florida Department of Health in Santa Rosa County; Healthy Start Coalition of Santa Rosa County; Women, Infant and Children Program (WIC); The Center for Total Women’s Health; Community Drug and Alcohol Council- Behavioral Health; West Florida Area Health Education Center; Covenant Hospice; Santa Rosa County School District; Santa Rosa County School Health Program; the City of Milton; Santa Rosa Pediatrics; University of West Florida; Students Working Against Tobacco (SWAT); the Department of Juvenile Justice; SR Teen Court; United Way of West Florida; Major’s Home Improvement; Camp Fire Gulf Wind; Children’s Home Society; OneBlood; ServPro of North Pensacola, Goodwill Easterseals of the Gulf Coast; Sonshine Caregivers; Life Options Clinic; Florida Springs Wellness Recovery Center, Biker Against Child Abuse; Emerald Coast Hospice; NWF Aging and Disability; Epilepsy of Florida; Target; Cigna; Big Brothers Big Sisters; Children’s Home Society of Florida; Humana and AIDS Healthcare Foundation. Any interested citizens or community groups are encouraged to attend the meeting and join the coalition.
