    The Navarre Chamber Military Affairs Committee (MAC) will be meeting on Monday, February 3, 2020 at 11:30 am at The Navarre Chamber Information Center, 1804 Prado Street (behind TC's Front Porch).

    All Navarre Chamber Members are invited to join the Navarre Chamber MAC.
     
    WHAT IS THE MILITARY AFFAIRS COMMITTEE (MAC)?
     
    The Military Affairs Committee (MAC) is a group of Navarre Chamber Members committed to promoting a cooperative working relationship and direct support to the military bases in the Navarre area.
     
    The purpose of the MAC is:
     
    - To assist military units in meeting their goals
    - Promote an understanding between the civilian and military communities
    - Enhance the quality of life for our military and their families.
     
    Comprised of civic and local leaders, the Navarre Chamber MAC meets monthly on the 1st Monday of month at 11:30 am to discuss issues relating to the civilian-military relationship.
     
    Lunch is served at the meeting and is sponsored by a MAC Member.
     
    For their support and contribution, MAC members enjoy many military events such as:
    - Change of command & retirement ceremonies and dinners
    - Base tours
    - Other special events throughout the year
     
    The MAC takes great pride in serving our chamber, our community and our United States Military.
     
    HOW CAN YOU JOIN?
     
    Any member of the Navarre Chamber may join MAC for $50 per year.
     
    100% of Navarre Chamber MAC dues are used to directly support the many activities and numerous requests made for funding by various military and supporting organizations.
     
    The MAC committee is active throughout the year and is kept up-to-date with the monthly e-newsletter “The Chamber Connection.”
     
    Navarre Chamber MAC Members agree to the following conditions of membership:
    - To attend monthly meetings
    - To attend 5-6 military functions/events each year
    - To support the military mission
    - To represent the Navarre Beach Area Chamber of Commerce Military Affairs Committee (MAC) in a favorable and approved image to military members and our community

    LTC James D. Pritchett commissioned into the United States Army through the University of Louisiana at Monroe as an Infantry Officer in 2001.
     
    LTC Pritchett’s previous assignments include:  Rifle Platoon Leader 4th BN 31st Infantry Regt, Ft Drum, Rifle Platoon Leader, Battalion Assistant S4 and S5 1st BN, 75th Ranger Regiment; Brigade Assistant Operations Officer 1st SBCT, 25th ID; Company Commander, 1st BN, 5th  Infantry Regiment; Regimental Training Officer and Liaison officer for 75th  Ranger Regiment; Operations Officer for U.S. Army Special Operations Command;  82nd ABN DIV Deputy Chief of Operations; Battalion Operations Officer and Battalion Executive Officer for 2-505 PIR, 3rd  BCT; Task Force 2 Operations Officer, the Live Fire Division Executive Officer, the Chief of Plans and Exercise Maneuver Control for the Joint Readiness Training Center (JRTC), Ft Polk, Louisiana; and lastly, the JRTC G3, Director of Operations.
     
    LTC Pritchett’s Operational Deployments include: three deployment to Iraq (2005, 2008, 2015) and five deployments to Afghanistan (2003 (x2), 2004, 2006, 2010).
     
    LTC Pritchett’s military education includes the Infantry Officer Basic Course and Maneuver Captains Career Course, United States Army Command and General Staff College, Stryker Leader’s Course, Airborne School, United States Army Jumpmaster School, and the U.S Army Ranger School.
     
    LTC Pritchett’s awards and decorations include the Bronze Star, Joint Service Commendation Medal, Meritorious Service Medal, Army Commendation Medal, Army Achievement Medal, Iraqi Campaign Medal, Afghanistan Campaign Medal, the Ranger Tab, Master Parachutist Badge, Combat Infantryman’s Badge (CIB), and the Expert Infantryman’s Badge (EIB).
     
    LTC Pritchett’s civilian education includes a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Louisiana-Monroe, a Master’s degree in Operations Management from the University of Arkansas as well as a Master's in Business Administration from Louisiana State University.
