    Landscape Design Series hosted by Navarre Garden Club
    The Navarre Garden Club will host a series of Landscape Design classes this fall.  The first session is Oct 12 at the Elks Club, 2002 Elks Way from 10 a.m. till 1 p.m.  It will cover an overview of general landscape design principals and will be taught by Sheila Dunning.

    Ms. Dunning is a Commercial Horticulture Agent with the University of Florida Extension Service in Okaloosa County.  She has a Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Horticulture from the University of Florida and a Masters in Agricultural Education and Communication.

    She holds several industry certifications including; International Society of Arboriculture Arborist, Associate Certified Entomologist, and Florida Nursery Growers and Landscape Association Landscape Contractor. 

    Dunning worked 22 years in the nursery industry, before joining the Extension service thirteen years ago.


    All of the 6 part series will be taught by an industry specialist.  The following sessions will be; hardscape, irrigation, trees and bushes, lawns and beds and specialty gardening.  Each attendee will go home with a completed plan for their area.

    The cost of the 6 session series is $90, or $20 for any individual class.

    Two of the classes will be held in the evening.
