    Santa Rosa County District 4 Commissioner & Vice-chair Jim Melvin is hosting a second public meeting to gather input from residents regarding a new Navarre Community Center facility Monday, Nov. 18 from 5:30 – 6:30 p.m. at the Navarre Visitor Center located at 8543 Navarre Pkwy. The meeting will continue the discussion of the community’s needs, potential locations, and funding options for a new community center in Navarre including the results of an online survey and any next steps. Results of the survey which collected input from residents July 22 to August 31 are available by clicking here.
     
    A bid to purchase the community center on Navarre School Road from the Navarre Area Board of Realtors was accepted by the board of commissioners at their June 13 meeting.  The previous community center did not have adequate parking or meeting space for the growing Navarre community. Navarre residents unable to attend the meeting may email their ideas to Commissioner Melvin at CommMelvin@santarosa.fl.gov.
