    Navarre, FL  Don’t be afraid to come out to the Emerald Coast Wildlife Refuge for a FANG-TASTIC great time at the 1ST Annual Batty Halloween Wing-Ding on October 22nd and 23nd from 4:00pm until 8:00pm at 3051 Cloptons Circle (just off Highway 87in Navarre, FL.  Join us in costume or not for a Spook-tacular evening of trick or treating with our animal ambassadors, kid-friendly haunted trail, pumpkin painting, cake walk, and much more.   Food trucks including Hawaiian Shaved IceCheesus, and Geeshs will be on-site to provide all sorts of delicious treats each night 

     

    ECWR Executive DirectorCrystie Baker stated that, “All proceeds and donations from this year’s event will help to provide care for our animal ambassadors and rehab patients. We’ve already had over 1500 patients this year and have just entered an unheard-of 3rd baby season, so events like the Batty Halloween Wing Ding really help fund and support our wildlife work and mission”.   Admission $4.00 per person in costume and $5.00 without costume includes activities like trick or treating with our animal ambassadors, while other games, crafts and raffle prizes will be available for $1.00 per ticket.  So, sharpen your fangs, straighten those wings and fly on over to Emerald Coast Wildlife Refuge for a ghoulish good time while your children learn about the native animals that live so close to all of us every day.   We plan to have a devilishly great evening with our guest of all ages. 

     

    About Emerald Coast Wildlife Refuge This year, ECWR celebrates our 27th year anniversary of caring for, rehabilitating and releasing NorthwestFlorida native wildlife.  The small but dedicated staff is on-duty seven days a week to assist local and state agencies in managing wildlife.   ECWR works with local governments, private businesses and citizens to protect habitats and help the wildlife that lives here.  

     

    Emerald Coast Wildlife Refuge is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization located in Navarre, FL with the mission of education, conservation, and rehabilitation for the welfare of Florida’s native wildlife through rescue, rehabilitation, and release. In 2020, ECWR had almost 2,000 animals come through our doors. ECWR also operates a Marine Mammal Stranding Program, which responds to and primarily aids marine mammals, but also sea turtles in certain locations.
