Trusted grocer plans to add 150 new stores, on track to become third-largest grocery retailer
Mobile, Alabama, Feb. 21, 2022 — Grocery shopping in the Mobile and Pensacola areas is getting smarter, faster and easier. As part of a Gulf Coast expansion, ALDI, one of the country’s most trusted grocers,* is opening its first Mobile, Alabama, store on March 3, and its first Navarre, Florida, store on March 10. ALDI plans to open approximately 20 new stores this year across Alabama, the Florida Panhandle, Louisiana and Mississippi.
To celebrate the store openings, ALDI will host a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 8:30 a.m. March 3 in Mobile, and 8:30 a.m. March 10 in Navarre. The first 100 customers at each store will receive a gift bag featuring a sampling of ALDI Fan Favorites products, and a gift card as part of the ALDI Golden Ticket gift card giveaway program. Shoppers can also enter a sweepstakes for a chance to win a $500 ALDI gift card.
The new stores, at 5021 Rangeline Crossing Drive in Mobile, and 8816 Navarre Parkway in Navarre, will be open daily from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Both stores offer the convenience of grocery delivery and, starting March 17 in Mobile and March 24 in Navarre, curbside pickup.

With its aggressive nationwide growth in recent years, ALDI is on track to open 150 new stores and become the third-largest U.S. grocery retailer by store count by the end of this year. Additionally, a new ALDI distribution center for the Gulf Coast region, in Loxley, Alabama, is under construction and expected to open later this year. Over time, the distribution center will serve approximately 100 stores throughout the region.
